/ The Official SW Fan Club. Star Wars Celebration I’Limited Edition’ Badge Set of All 10 Designs w/ Original Sony Classical E1 Soundtrack Lanyard & Box. The Jar Jar badge was signed exclusively for this set by the goofy Gungan himself, Ahmed Best! The first Celebration was held at the Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, Colorado over April 30th, May 1st & 2nd, 1999. The absolute best part about this 25-year-old Phantom Menace collectible badge set is that is has Ahmed Best’s VINTAGE-style signature on the Jar Jar pass! He no longer signs like this today (it’s way more loopy and a bit strange, and his last name is more difficult to make out, too), so here’s your chance to get an old-school version autograph for your collection. This signed Jar Jar badge – and the other badges that comprise the set – came directly from the Official SW Fan Club, and the Ahmed Best signature was guaranteed to be real (those who know Ahmed Best’s vintage signature will undoubtedly agree, anyway). However, I personally guarantee that the signature on this badge will pass third party authentication today, if you should choose to go that route. All the badges feature wonderful art, and an original yellow Sony Classical lanyard is included, just as people received at the con in Denver. The lanyard advertises the soundtrack release of Episode I and is very cool. The black ink variation is absolutely the toughest to attain of all the colors, and it’s been a few years since I’ve seen another one. Again, this set is completely new, and each badge shines bright. Characters represented are as follows: Jar Jar Binks is on the Exhibitors badge, Sebulba is on the All Access badge, C-3PO is on the Staff badge, Queen Amidala is on the VIP Guest badge, a Pit Droid is on the Backstage badge, a Battle Droid is on the Volunteer badge, Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi is on the Friday badge, Qui-Gon Jinn is on the Saturday badge, young Anakin Skywalker is on the Sunday badge, and Darth Maul is on the Three Day badge. The condition of the badge set is still in mint, new condition, as it was never messed with or ever displayed.
