1997 STAR WARS Production Proof #2 SW-Trilogy INGOT

Authentic mages was licensed by LucasFilm in 1997 to produce our 24K Gold Collectibles to commemorate and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Star Wars’ first three movies produced in 1977 / 1980 and 1983: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. AI produced the INGOT, (15) movie cards (5 for each movie), the (3) movie posters, and (4) framed gallery Pieces for a total of (23) SKU’s in the program. ONLY (4) INGOT Production Proofs were ever created (PP-1, PP-2, PP-3, PP-4) prior to AI’s production run in 1997. PP-1 and PP-2 have never been seen since we produced them in 1997, and are part of my personal collection (Frank Walsh, owner of AI). PP-1 and PP-2 are the LAST pieces left in inventory. There are NO back templates or COA’s as these are PP’s and NOT regular limited edition cards. The INGOTS are slightly different in size compared to the regular (18) cards in the set as LucasFilm wanted the INGOT to have it’s own special and unique look. The cards are 3 1/8 x 2 1/8″ (reg cards are 3 1/2 x 2 1/2″). FYI the LE of the INGOT was 1997 just like all the cards in the set, HOWEVER LucasFilm received the FIRST 500 cards that went to their employees and special partners prior to the release of the program.

It is no longer in production and extremely rare! This helmet is in MINT CONDITION! The scale is 1:1 (life size). Only removed from its box to snap these photos for the listing. These particular stormtroopers are featured throughout the Star Wars Expanded Universe (now known as “Legends”). And I believe the Black Series has released at least one action figure, based on these guys. In my opinion, the stormtrooper helmet is one of the two greatest helmets ever to be presented on the movie screen (tied with Vader)! I’ve specifically collected them, over the years, more than any other helmet style. If the helmet looks a bit “uneven” in places (particularly, the backside), it’s because this was made using 3D scans of an original helmet from Star Wars: A New Hope, and all of those original helmets were asymmetrical (due to budget constraints). So the design/construction is 100% screen accurate! A significant portion of my collection consists of all the different variants of “stormtrooper” helmets. I was planning to build a special display, to show off each of the different evolutionary stages of the “stormtrooper” helmet. But it was never meant to be. It truly is killing me to let this go!
